FPC Sunday Morning Worship
WHY DO WE WORSHIP?
We were created to worship. The first question of the Westminster Shorter Catechism asks, “What is the chief end (purpose) of man?” The answer contains words that direct us how to live, “The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.” God designed all of life to focus on bringing Him glory. As we gather on Sunday mornings we have the privilege of worshiping together as the covenant people of God.
HOW DO WE WORSHIP?
We worship as God instructs us to do in the Bible. Among the elements of worship are joyful singing, stating our faith, confessing our sin, giving of God’s tithe and our offerings, and actively hearing the faithful preaching of God’s Word. Our goal in worship centers on the Creator God being glorified. Faithful worship also strengthens God’s people to live to His glory day by day.
